Hima Captain’s Putter: Precision and Celebration

Entebbe, Uganda – Under blue skies and the lush fairways of Entebbe Club, the Captain’s Putter Golf Tournament returned in full swing, and Hima Cement was right at the centre of the action, proudly sponsoring the event in a continued show of support for Uganda’s golfing community and lifestyle sport culture.

Set on one of Uganda’s premier courses, the tournament drew seasoned golfers, rising talent, and fans alike for a full day of spirited competition, elegance, and camaraderie.

The top honours of the day went to the dynamic duo of Michael Kabango and Peace Hellen, who not only clinched the overall winners’ title, but also shared a personal milestone as a couple both on and off the course. Peace Hellen went on to dominate individual accolades as well, claiming both Longest Drive and Nearest to the Pin, proving her precision and power on the fairway.

As the sun set on a thrilling day of golf, players and guests gathered for the signature 19th Hole Experience a lively celebration filled with nostalgic 90s music by the Ivuga Band, great company, and easy conversation beneath the stars. It was more than a closing ceremony; it was a night of connection, culture, and shared appreciation for the game.

Beyond the greens, Hima Cement took the opportunity to reaffirm its partnership with Entebbe Club, continuing to support infrastructure improvements on the course — from refreshed tee boxes to the recently completed pathway to Tee Box 1. These investments are part of Hima Cement’s broader vision to elevate sport and leisure spaces across the country.

From championship-level play to unforgettable evening vibes, the Captain’s Putter 2025 was a celebration of excellence and elegance. For Hima Cement, it was another opportunity to build more than structures, to build relationships, memories, and lasting moments that matter.
