Hima Cement Donates Relief Items to Flood Victims

Kasese, Uganda – May 18, 2024 – In response to the recent devastating floods and landslides that have severely impacted the Kasese and Bunyangabu Districts, Hima Cement has stepped forward with a substantial donation of essential relief items to support the affected communities. The donation aims to provide immediate assistance to families who have lost their homes and belongings, offering them some comfort and relief in these trying times.


The relief items provided by Hima Cement include 5000 kilograms of Posho, 2000 kilograms of Beans, 120 mattresses, 120 Blankets, and Mosquito Nets.


Mr. Ravindra Antin, the General Manager Hima Plant, expressed the company’s commitment to supporting the local communities in times of need.


"We are deeply saddened by the devastation caused by the floods and landslides in Kasese and Bunyangabu. At Hima Cement, we believe in standing with our communities during difficult times. We hope that our contribution will provide some relief and help the affected families as they begin to rebuild their lives."


The recent natural disasters have displaced hundreds of families, destroyed homes, and disrupted livelihoods. In response, local authorities have been working tirelessly to provide aid and support to those in need.
